Set a Blue-Light Filter schedule and save your settings
Set the tint’s start and end hours, save your preferences, and check the limits of the built-in Notes area.
Want the tint to come on at the same time each evening? Blue-Light Filter can follow a schedule while the app is running. Use hours within the same day; an overnight range such as 22 to 6 is not supported.
Set the start and end hours
In Options, tick the main Enable checkbox and choose a strength from 1 to 3. Tick Time Based (24h), then set the first hour slider, labelled To, to your start hour between 0 and 23. The second hour slider, labelled Enable, is the last hour the tint stays on. Both use your PC’s local clock.
The end hour is included. For a tint from 18:00 until 23:00, choose 18 and 22. Keep the app running and check the change at each boundary. For a session that runs past midnight, turn off Time Based and use the main Enable checkbox manually.
Save the preferences you want to keep
Click Save after choosing your strength, schedule, and app theme. On your next launch, check that those preferences have loaded. The app needs Steam and an internet connection while running.
Notes is a scratchpad for the current session. Its text is lost when the app closes, and the Save button does not save notes. Copy anything you want to keep into a text file or your usual notes app.
Turn off the tint when colour matters
Untick Enable when editing photos, comparing colours, or checking how a game looks without a tint. Night-Mode changes the app’s own theme; it does not add another level of screen filtering.
