Shortcuts without closing your game

Press Shift+F12 to open Gaming Overlay’s menu. Use Quick Launch for apps you have added, or Picture Preview for a map, puzzle clue, or other reference image.

CPU, memory and audio at hand

The Performance panel shows CPU load and RAM use. Audio gives you separate output-channel volume controls. There are also clock, date, and screen-tint options. The activity readings do not include an FPS counter, and the audio sliders are not per-app or microphone controls.

Check your game and display mode

The overlay is a separate window over your desktop. If a fullscreen game hides it, try the game’s windowed or borderless mode. Compatibility varies; it is not guaranteed to appear over every game. Steam and an internet connection are required while it runs.

Before you install

Common questions

What to check before you install or change a setting.

How do I open or close the menu?

Press Shift+F12. From the menu, choose the panel you want, such as Quick Launch, Picture Preview, Performance, or Audio.

Which pictures can I open?

Picture Preview imports files with lowercase .png, .jpg, or .bmp extensions through File → Import. Choose a clear image and keep it away from game information you need to see.

Can I add my own apps?

Yes. In Quick Launch, enter a Name and the Path to the app’s .exe file, then choose Add Program. The shortcut is saved automatically. Test it before relying on it during a game.

What does the tint schedule support?

Use start and end hours within the same day; overnight ranges such as 22 to 6 are not supported. The end hour is included. Dark Mode changes the overlay’s own theme rather than the tint strength.
