Choose a tint you prefer

Blue-Light Filter gives your screen a tint with three strength levels. Start at 1, compare it with your normal display, and try a stronger level if you prefer. Strength 0 leaves the display untinted.

Set the hours and save your preferences

Keep the app running to follow a same-day schedule using your PC’s local clock. The end hour is included: start 18 and end 22 keeps the tint on from 18:00 until 23:00. Overnight ranges, such as 22 to 6, are not supported; use the manual Enable control for those sessions. Click Save to keep your chosen settings.

Night-Mode switches the app’s controls to a dark theme. It is separate from the display tint. The Notes area is a temporary scratchpad: its text is lost when the app closes, and Save does not save notes.

    She said she's level 18

There's a girl named Jitsumi's Blue-Light Filter & she's easy on the eyes. Literally. For the price of a soda, you can give your eyes a break & lessen your display's strain on them.

Before you install

Common questions

What to check before you install or change a setting.

How do I turn the tint off?

Untick Enable, or set Strength to 0. Turn it off when you need the display’s normal colours, such as when editing photos or checking a screenshot.

Are my notes saved?

No. Copy anything you want to keep into a text file or your usual notes app before closing Blue-Light Filter.

Does it treat eye strain or sleep problems?

It is a screen-colour preference, not a medical treatment. Choose it for how you like your display to look.

Does it need Steam or an internet connection?

Yes, both are required while the app runs. Check the requirements below and the Steam page before installing.
