Open a reference image in Gaming Overlay
Keep a map, puzzle clue, or build reference nearby with Picture Preview.
Need to check a map or puzzle clue without closing your game? Gaming Overlay’s Picture Preview opens an image beside your other overlay panels.
Import a picture
Save the reference with a lowercase .png, .jpg, or .bmp extension. Use a copy with clear labels and only the part you need; a whole-page guide can become hard to read when reduced to fit the screen.
Press Shift+F12, choose Picture Preview, then File → Import. Select the image and check that it opens. If it is too small to read, crop or enlarge the important part in an image editor and import that version.
Check it over your game
Move the preview away from the minimap, subtitles, and other game information you need. Try it over a bright and a dark scene. Toggle Picture Preview off from the menu when you no longer need it so it does not cover the action.
If the overlay does not appear over a fullscreen game, try windowed or borderless mode. Test your usual setup before relying on it during a match; support varies by game and display mode.
Before you share your screen
Check that the picture contains no private messages or account details if you stream or share your desktop. Update saved references when a game patch changes the map or puzzle.
