User Data Deletion
Request deletion of information held by Jitsumi, including data associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Threads integrations where connected.
Request deletion from Jitsumi
Email [email protected] with the subject User Data Deletion Request, or use the Jitsumi contact form. In the form, choose Other as the topic and start your message with “User Data Deletion Request.”
- Provide an email address where we can reply. If possible, use the address associated with your previous contact or connection to Jitsumi.
- Identify the relevant service, such as Facebook, Instagram, or Threads, and the account username, profile URL, or Page name or ID. For a website contact message or newsletter subscription, give the email address used.
- Describe the information you want deleted and whether you also want the social connection removed. You can request deletion of all information associated with the identified connection or specify particular records.
Please send only the details needed to locate your records. Do not send passwords, access tokens, app secrets, payment details, or identity documents with your initial request.
Submitting a request does not automatically delete data. We may need further information to locate the records and verify that the request concerns you or an account you are authorised to manage. Use the same contact channel to ask about the status of your request.
Information associated with a social connection
Depending on the integration and how it has been used, Jitsumi’s publishing tools can hold:
- Connected-account labels, usernames or handles, platform account or Page identifiers, connection status, and access credentials.
- Draft and scheduled post text, links, media references, selected destinations, and scheduling information.
- Publishing and delivery records, including platform post identifiers and URLs, timestamps, status, and error information.
Please include any of these records you want considered in your request. See the Privacy Policy for information about other website data, retention, and privacy requests.
Revoke access through Meta
You can also use the connected platform’s settings to review and remove Jitsumi’s access to your account. Look for the connected apps, website permissions, or business integrations settings for the Facebook, Instagram, or Threads account you connected.
Revoking access at Meta is separate from requesting deletion of data held by Jitsumi. It does not by itself erase Jitsumi’s stored records. To request their deletion, contact us using the instructions above.
Disconnect within Jitsumi
If you are an authorised Jitsumi site administrator, open Social Media → Accounts for social-post connections, or Blog Notification → Accounts for automatic article-announcement connections. These screens have separate account lists. If an account is connected in both places, disable or remove its connection in each.
Account removal does not by itself delete stored posts or delivery history. For a deletion request that includes those records or credentials, contact us as described above.
Posts already published on a platform
Removing a Jitsumi connection or deleting a local publishing record does not delete a post already published on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, or another platform. Manage those posts through the platform’s own controls. This page concerns information held by Jitsumi; each platform handles its own data under its own policies.
